Hello and happy trails from Carolyn!

I know that quite a few of you are on the road or home (following Penny's harrowing journey was an eye opener!), but I thought that I would get out a "final" newsletter before the summer break.  Safe travels for those of you leaving and to all at home, enjoy the summer!

Cubbies/Stash Lockers:

I believe all cubbie keys should have been turned in by now, but if you have questions, please contact Mary Lee Jones at

March 27 Newsletter

  Sew What's New? March 27, 2018

The summer exodus is beginning and there are many hugs and a few tears. We look forward to seeing those planning to return in the fall season and will dearly miss those who are not able to come back to us.  Thanks to all for the laughter, the knowledge, the thread, that little bit of fabric, the camaraderie, the tolerance...but most of all for the incredible energy of so many talented women and one man being in the same room. Thanks for sharing your talents, your visions, your challenges, your dreams and you!

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT THIS!

We are pleased to welcome Carolyn Schwulst as our newCommunications Editor. (You can contact her email by clicking on her name.) The newsletter will be in good hands, as Carolyn is a former computer programmer so knows her way around a computer!  I will be providing support to Carolyn as she gets up to speed with our newsletter.

Newsletters will be sporadic as needed over the summer but will pick up again in the Fall season.

Board Members, Committee Chairs and anyone else wanting to have something posted in the Guild news, need to be reminded that the publication deadline is Tuesday at noon for it to be out to our Guild before our Thursday meetings.

No Meetings until the Fall Season

Quilts of Valor!   Wow. You women rock! Can't believe that you took on the challenge to make a team quilt top...and made it happen! Eleven and a half quilts were made from 4-9:10 pm when the last wilted quilters closed down the sewing room. Your are truly amazing. So proud of the accomplishment of this evening. We had 58 Quilters/ironers/cutters helping to make those Quilts of Valor!

Special thanks for the food prepared and served by Linda Eliason, Patt Anthony and Holly Leonardi and a few other bakers. Your selections were delicious.
